Lynn, Francine and Family,
I was very sorry to hear of Doody's passing.... I will always remember Doody's wit, sense of humor and love of sports especially the New York teams. Whenever a trip to Northport included a visit with Doody I was guaranteed a good laugh, new sports trivia and a renewed appreciation of family. My thoughts and prayers are with Doody, both of you and your family during this difficult time. Cherish the many, many great memories that you have of Doody....they do last a lifetime !!!!!!
Sincerely,
Marty Salanger

Our family will always remember Doody...and all of you...as great neighbors. Your goodness and kindness made our part of Northport "a great place to live". Having people like Doody around was truly a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Be assured of our prayers and support.

Aunt Lynn and family, your Doody was distinct and beloved... yes! his humor was famously celebrated, backed by a fine character and tender heart. May he rest in peace knowing all that he encountered were inspired by his strength and determined spirit. XO Joe DeNoyior and family

A character of epic proportion with a heart of gold. His sense of humor was off the chart and he “took no prisoners”.
The best prank was Marty Brennan offering to get him a cheese sandwich for lunch and he told the guy at the deli to only put one piece of cheese on. He cracked up and then Marty pulled another sandwich out of his pocket

Doody, You were a role model: You mentored me in the skills and values of a great leader and the more I observed you, the more I aspired to be like you.
There were many other bosses in my life that did not do these things. Turns out, you were one of a kind. Thank you kindly, for the good years!

First day I met Doodie,it was all business until I mentioned something else and it turned out he knew my real Dad. He probably knew him longer than I did,and he said something positive about him
A first. But that connection turned into a friendship that I will cherish forever. Always made me smile, laugh, and listen to his stories of growing up in Northport. What a great time it must have been!! Thank you Doodie for that friendship. You will always remain in my heart.

Doody was a great person and a most generous and caring man. It was a honor and pleasure to have known him. He was married to a good friend and high school classmate of mine,Lynn, who dedicated her married life to taking care of Doody. The NHS reunion Doody and Lynn hosted and sponsored every summer meant so much to all. We will all miss Doody! RIP

Mom and I are heartbroken. Doody was one of those special people who you “picked up where you left off” with in a conversation, even if it’s been YEARS since you last spoke. He was a pleasure to know, and we’ll sorely miss him.
