John was a passionate man. His cars, his teams, his politics all saw his passion. John was a generous man. He gave impromptu, spontaneous gifts. They weren't necessarily wrapped up with a bow, but they were gifts, nonetheless. John was like lightning, a flash, followed by a crash for those nearest to him, and a rumbling echo for the rest. That's how I'll remember John, passionate, spontaneous, and echoing.
