I'm sorry to hear of Cliffs Passing. Cliff was my replacement In Vietnam in 1969. We became good buddies during the remainder of my tour. We saw each other after the war. In fact when I got home and started college; Abby, his wife at the time took a biology class together, before he got home. He was a real nice guy and could always make you laugh, even when things were bad. Rest in peace my brother. Your old Vietnam buddy, Bruce Berger

The happiest times with my brother, Cliff, were growing up on Long Island. We used to play "war" in our bedroom at our parents house in Syosset rolling a ball into our wall of dominoes. Simple stuff...stickball in the street and catching butterflies in the grass near Northern State Parkway. As we grew older, Cliff and I would go to the Oak Beach Inn on Friday nights and if either of us needed the other to rescue them from people we had just met, we would. I was too young to drive at the time so Cliff would chauffeur me in his red Triumph if it was not in the shop. Then I spent 4 years up in Westchester at college and Cliff was drafted to Vietnam. I would correspond with him and send him cookies. I received a letter subsequently telling me not to send any more cookies because they arrived "full of ants". Time and distance separated us throughout the years as he remained on Long Island and I wound up in NYC then NJ and now in AZ. I couldn't have asked for a better older brother. I know he's up in heaven with our parents...and that we will all be together again one day. Rest in peace, brother...
