Obituary of Gerardo W. Vila Lopez Cepero
Gerardo W. Vila Lopez Cepero, born May 2, 1947, gained his wings and was called by our heavenly father October 30, 2023. He lived a full life, graduated from St. John's Chrysostom in the Bronx and went on to graduate from Rice High School in Manhattan. He then went in to the Air Force and was a K-9 Sergeant for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1970. He then married Irma Portela in 1971 and had two children Yvonne and Lorraine . He was a Martial Arts instructor as well as notary. He also studied at John Jay Criminal Law College.
Jerry, as most know him, was a loving family man and worked very hard to provide for his family. He is survived by his two daughters Yvonne Carver and Lorraine Martinez, his sister Carmen Santiago, his grandchildren Marc Carver, Nicholas Carver, Natalia Pérez, Carlos Pérez Jr, his great-grandchildren Immanuel Avery Carver, Novalee Athena Carver and many nieces and nephews.
