Dick and Hetta were such good friends to my husband during his recent illness. The engineer in Dick even built a device for him to hit tennis balls against the garage. Now you and Dick can hit tennis balls in heaven. Rest in Peace and Eternal Love dear friend

There are so many wonderful memories of Dick from years gone by. Memories of shared tennis games, canoe trips and bike excursions, ski trips and of course Octoberfest celebrations. Dick was a gentleman, a good sport, a ready listener, an artist and a very enthusiastic dancer! A real Renaissance Man, he will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to Hetta and his beautiful family at this sad time. with Love, Dan and Leslie Barnett

Lifelong friend of my parents and family. Dick will be remembered as a kind and good-natured person and truly be missed. We lost a wonderful man this week. Sincere condolences to Hetta, my mom's dear friend, to Kurt, Kim and Rick, and to all of his wonderful grandchildren. May he rest peacefully...my mom gained and angel and friend in Heaven xo

Will always remember my sweet Uncle Richard and his sense of humor and positive outlook on everything. I miss the days of all our cousins and wonderful Aunts/Uncles and our many family gatherings between NY and NJ. I wish him eternal peace and hopefully he is hugging his only 2 siblings who passed within the past 5 months…Louise on 7/11 and my mother Margaret on 8/23. So hopefully they all have their first Christmas together in heaven in a few weeks. God bless.

So sorry for your loss:( I only knew Dick for a few years and went on 2 skiing trips with him ( in his eighties!) An amazing capable man with great stories and loved how he invented simple ingenious tools to take his ski boots without bending;) warmest condolences
