Alfred M. King of Hobe Sound Florida, formerly of Northport, NY and Cambridge, NY on January 22, 2024, 93 years of age. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Petrie). Loving father of Michael King, Diane King Cotter and her husband David, Christopher King and the late Terrence King (3/2/2020). Cherished grandfather of Daniel King, Renee Amato (Nick), Rebecca Cotter, Kelly Barcenas (Jonathan), and Samantha King. Dear great grandfather of Jack Amato and Julia Amato. Fond brother of the late James P. King (1992).Alfred Proudly served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953 as a seargent with a Korean service medal with 2 Bronze Stars, he married his love Barbara in 1958. Al spent his summers vacationing at Lake Lauderdale in Cambridge NY, for 85 years and then in his later years made that his home for many years. Visiting Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY Sunday January 28, 2024, 4-8 pm Funeral Mass Monday 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport, burial to follow at Commack Cemetery with Army Military Honors.
