Obituary of Eileen Mary Thomas

Eileen Thomas, 81, of East Northport, passed away on January 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Walter Thomas for 64 years. A loving mother, Eileen is survived by Mary Jean Crane (spouse David Crane), James Thomas (late Pamela Thomas), Joan Thomas, and Christian Thomas (late Jessica Thomas).

Eileen was a cherished grandmother to 17 grandchildren and a great grandmother to 34 great-grandchildren. She also had the joy of being a great-great grandmother to 3 great-great Grandchildren. Eileen shared a special bond not only with her sisters Joan Leonhardt, Maureen Henry, the late Anne Forbes, but also with her brother the late Richard Demling.

Eileen's passion for others shone through her years as a school bus driver, specifically for disabled children. She affectionately referred to them as her “kids”.  In her leisure time, Eileen found joy in knitting, showcasing her creative spirit. Her love extended to her feline companions whom she adored.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 1^st from 3-7 PM at Nolan Funeral Home. Funeral Service will start at 10:30 AM Friday at Nolan Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Please join us in remembering the life of Eileen Thomas.
