I am deeply saddened by Joe's passing. My sincere condolences to Michael and the Nostro family. My heart goes out to you in this very difficult time.
Joe was a trusted and cherished colleague and friend for many years. Outside of work one of my fondest memories of him was a (work) trip to Venice.
His smile says more than a thousand words!

Dear Michael and Joe's family.
Joe was a dear friend and colleague. I will never forget the good times we had at Ogilvy. We sat on the same floor and every time I walked around the corner, I saw Joe's smiling face and he always made me laugh. One day, I couldn't be in the office and a senior client was visiting. I asked Joe to help, and without hesitation, he stepped up. And, he did a better job than I ever would have done. He was a professional. I was so glad that I was able to see him in February. The world was a better place with Joe in it and I believe that some day we will see each other again. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

To Michael and the Nostro family: my sincere condolences.
I worked with Joe at Ogilvy. I have fond memories of hanging out with Joe. Trapezing on the West Side Highway is one of them.
He was kind and caring and always a great listener. Rest in peace Joe.

To Michael and the Nostro Family,
I am very sorry to hear about Joe's passing. He was a colleague and a friend at Ogilvy for many years and I have only fond memories of him. Whether dealing with executives or junior team members, Joe was always equally kind, open and professional. His great sense of humor often helped alleviate tense situations in the mad world of advertising. And the trips we went on with the team were legendary. He will be greatly missed. The world lost a wonderful human being.

Michael and the Nostro family: Joe has been a dear friend for the past 51 years. I met Joe in Mrs Gordon’s Fifth grade class at Sts. Cyril and Methodius. Years and years of laughter, cocktails, sunrises and sunsets. Anything on the water with Joe was always special. Spring Breaks down in Fort Lauderdale with Joe, Greg and Brendan. The four of us couldn’t be more different. Parties at The Doyle’s house (the meeting place always), wrapping up our evening events in high school and college at The Olympic Diner. Joe was always thoughtful and kind, yet had a humor to share out load what everyone else was thinking. Joe never met a stranger and always managed to become fast friends with almost anyone. As anyone who know Joe would agree, he got his energy from others and loved a nice cocktail and reminiscing and continuing to make new memories. Blessed to spend many nights in the East Village with Joe and Michael and Brendan. Never thought it would end so quickly, yet I celebrate all the laughter and friendship. Visiting Joe and Michael several times at their beautiful home in Palm Springs was always so much fun. So pleased they enjoyed that west coast adventure together. Joe and Michael no doubt enjoyed a special bond….a true love story that anyone would be lucky to have. Through good times and bad, they always made it through. Michael……..thank YOU for taking such wonderful care of the man you loved. You cared for Joe with pure love and grace. I enjoyed my visits to Ocean Avenue in Northport while Joe was receiving treatment and fighting the good fight. When there, Joe was always positive and hopeful. He fought for his life and for that, I am grateful. I will never forget our dear friend Joe. I will, until we meet again, smile when I remember all the fun times together. Joe will be forever in my heart. May he rest in peace until we meet again. Kevin Hunter

Joseph was a kind and thoughtful person who was taken from us much too early. His presence will be sorely missed, but the memory of Joe’s kindness, thoughtfulness and humor will remain in our hearts forever.

To Michael and the Nostro family, my sincere condolences. We lost a great one. Joe was my colleague and Executive Assistant at Ogilvy for over 20 years, and I could not have imagined a better partner.
He was highly skilled, warm and empathetic. His great gift was making people feel welcome and relaxed. The company events he organized to Miami, Antigua, and David Ogilvy’s chateau in France were legendary.
Joe was a remarkable judge of people. While at Ogilvy, I interviewed more than a thousand people for various jobs. Joe never did official interviews , but would always form opinions based on his interactions with the candidates. Occasionally, he’d weigh in with a vote if he found someone particularly delightful (or obnoxious!). His assessments were always spot on.
I will miss Joe’s immense warmth, strength and humor. God bless The Velvet Hammer.

Behind your eyes I felt there was something you knew about life that we all didn’t.
Your quick wit and jokes, usually at my expense, which Rob ALWAYS agreed with, kept me endlessly laughing. (How I spoke and looked like some of the 1950s actors you compared me to, I will never know.) I will miss your random and hilarious texts that just somehow seemed to come when I needed them the most.
The impact you had through our conversations is something I carry with me each and every day, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my days. Your ability to make me feel heard and understood, but never judged, is an attribute I admired so very much in you. I am better for having you in my life; the world is a little less so in your absence.
The energy and love you gave to me will be shared and given to others, as it is the only way I know how to honor what a truly special personal you are.
I will see you down the road Joe, and I am sure the party you will have set up and awaiting the rest of us will be absolutely spectacular.
All the love,
MDA

Sincere condolences to Mike and all Joe's family at his loss.
There are no words at this time that can help, but the joy of his life will be here forever.
He was such a warm, funny, brave and generous man. It was always a treat to meet up with him on any trip to the States from Ireland
I will hold him in my heart.

My heart is so broken for my dear cousin’s passing. Growing up with Joe and my cousins were some of my happiest childhood memories. I just lit up when I knew we would be together. From childhood to adulthood, Joe always gave me something to laugh about. His wit and charm were always the highlight. I will always cherish our times together. I will miss you my dear cousin. You meant so much to me and I will always hold you and our memories close in my heart. Until we meet again. I love you. Love, Lorraine
