Obituary of Lois O'Hara

Lois O'Hara, passed away on April 29, 2024 at Good Shephard Hospice in Port Jefferson, NY and is now resting with God. Born in Waterbury Connecticut on July 5, 1935, the daughter of the late Emma & Salvatore Cocchiola. She is also predeceased by her sister Virginia Jordan and her late husband Joseph. Lois is survived by her loving children Christopher O'Hara and his wife Dahlia, Jennifer Upton and her husband Jim, and Clay Jordan and his wife Ann, and step grandchildren Zachary and the late Nicholas, and her sister Linda Insogna and her husband John.

Lois in her early years work as a teacher in the Lloyd Harbor School district then raised her family and went on to work as an administrator for the Huntington Chamber of Commerce for many years.

There will be visiting Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Friday May 3, 2024 from 9am to 10am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 am at St. Philip Neri Church, Main Street, Northport. Lois will be laid to rest following the Mass with her Husband Joseph who predeceased her on February 20, 2018, at Calverton National Cemetery
