Obituary of Marie L. Kikel

Marie Kikel, of Northport, passed away on May 23, 2024. Marie was a loving mother to Jessica Kikel O'Leary and her husband Kevin, Dr. Michelle Kikel, and Matthew Kikel. Cherished grandmother of Charlotte. Beloved daughter of Eileen Boubour and the late Robert Boubour. Dear sister of Patricia Macko and her husband Kenneth. Proud dog-mom to Duffy.

Marie was a first generation American, born in Manhattan into a hard working French and Irish immigrant family. Marie worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and was proud to have taught CCD classes for numerous families in the St. Philip Neri Parish.

Marie was known for her kindness and her thoughtful heart. She loved to cook, and regularly shared her delicious meals with countless in the community. She was a great neighbor and devoted friend. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28 from 5-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 29 at 10am at St. Philip Neri Church, Main Street, Northport. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
