Barbara (and Bill) were good friends of our family starting with she and my mom (Pat McGoldrick)becoming friends through real estate. When I bought my first house my mom directed me to Barbara based upon her honesty, knowledge and influence in keeping me from a bad decision. She did the same for my brothers. Barbara was always there when I would reach out for any reason. For many years we enjoyed New Year's celebrations on her porch with her huge array of friends. I ran across this obit by chance and was away when she passed. Sending much love and condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.

Barbara was always a joy to be around. We competed in our Ensigns, worked as Race Committee together and just had lots of fun at the Northport Yacht Club. She was always my go to volunteer: always available to lend a hand with Race Committee House Committee or anything else. I loved those post holiday parties at the Hinton house. Barbara will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my great friend.

Thank you for being my real estate mentor in the 70's. Thank you for not killing me when I brought back Bill, very bloody, as he had jumped straight onto coral in the BVI to save the dinghy I was driving. Thank you for not helping at all, but instead finding a French restaurant while I was trying to get out of a traffic jam. Thank you for being so entranced that you almost fell over looking at a blown glass ceiling exhibit by Chihuly. Thank you for always keeping your sense of wonder. Thank you for being my friend.
