In June 2002 my family and I moved to Jean Court, where we were lucky enough to have Carol and Joanne as next door neighbors. My children were 5, 3, and 2 years old. My oldest son was obsessed with dinosaurs at the time and wanted to write a book about them. He dictated and I transcribed, then he illustrated it. He proudly gave it to Carol to "edit" and she happily did and praised him so! My kids felt so special living next to the library director! She watched my children grow up and was always so proud, especially when my elder son won 2 college football National Championships. For 4 years when we were traveling all over going to games she kept an eye on the house and made sure any parties didn't get too rowdy. We all loved her and are devastated by her loss. May she rest in peace in the arms of her husband and family in heaven.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Albano through my time at the Harborfields Library. She was the Children’s Program Director during my time as a child, and we attended many events that she oversaw. Additionally, Mrs. Albano worked with my grandmother, Maureen Buskard for many, many years at the Library. Harborfields Library will always hold special significance for me, and Mrs. Albano was certainly a large part of its importance in my childhood.
