I went to school with Richard and a sweeter, nicer guy I can't recall. Sincere condolences to his family, his daughter Heather went to school with mine and his loss is a great one for our community. Few places these days have such a close-knit feel with our children side by side as were their parents. Diana Hannon

I can call Rich a good friend. Working with him for many years he was always pleasant and professional in how he handled things. A fellow car enthusiast I will miss him driving around in his Cobra. RIP my friend.

II was privileged to have an uncle and godfather who lived nearby and played an integral role in my life. He would often take me on his boat, where I would fall asleep. Richard and my dad would take us hiking, quad rides, shooting and visits to the river and ravine upstate. We also enjoyed sleigh riding, snowmobiling, and building campfires to melt plastic and observe the mesmerizing blue flames. We also would ignite pine branches, reveling the crackling sounds they produced. He was a constant presence at every significant event and holiday. Furthermore, he assisted me with relocation on several occasions and consistently demonstrated a willingness to lend a helping hand. His passing will undoubtedly be felt by many.
