Dear Robbie,
As you might imagine, my heart is horriblty sad these days. I can hardly look at Aunt Chris, without both of us crying endlessly. This sadness comes from knowing how much we will miss you for all the happiness and joy you have provided to us and our families. As Jonathan and Katie would say .. . " Robbie is wicked cool !" You are an incredible bundle of goodness that words don't adequately describe : clever, handsome, polite, witty, charming, daring, adventurous, talented, kind and compassionate ...just to name a few. All of these traits are wrapped up in a young man with a dynamic and light-up-the-room smile !
We are coming to visit with you so that we can wish you well in your journey that lies ahead. As believers in God we all know that this journey takes you and all of us to a place where we will all unite. It is this looking ahead that will heal our collective pain and allow us to focus on the perpetual good that lies ahead for you.
This fall, you convinced me that cruising the Caribbean would be a "best ever" adventure. At some point in the future we will take that journey together, and I'll look forward to seeing you at the helm. However, beware that when you lest expect it, I will toss you over the side in fun to hear you again laugh and beam that smile across the water's glistening surface. Don't mention any of this to your Mom, Dad, Carolyn, Christie or Joe because I'm going after them next. This will be our time to laugh ...to smile ...to hug ...to swim .... on a beautiful ocean journey !!
Love you,
Uncle Bill + Aunt Chris
