The only way I could ever win a game of chess with her, was by playing with a short clock and losing all my pieces slower than ticking minutes!
She was indeed an angel and a good friend.
Farewell, April.
April will always be remembered for her open sensitivity, quiet radiance and her warming smile. April entered my life as an art student at Northport High School where she added to the joy of our lives. My empathy is hereby forwarded to her loving family, Doris Rowe
I met April at Old First Church about 2 years ago when we would sit in the room upstairs and talk (she would knit) while our girls were at choir rehearsal. She was always so down to earth, kind and warm and I always felt a connection and comfort when we talked. She was a wonderful mom to Sierra! I was amazed by her peacefulness and bravery through her illness. I am so sad and will miss her very much! To her family and especially Dennis and Sierra- we send our deepest condolences and prayers to you at this very difficult time. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort. - the Terc Family

I always enjoyed playing music together with April. She was a gifted musician. She was easy to talk to and I will sorely miss our conversations. Sierra reminds me so much of April, and I know April will be watching over her.
