Obituary of Francine E. Moore
Francine Moore - Left us on October 8, 2014 at the young age of 65. She was the beloved wife of Roderick. Loving proud mother of Julie-Ann Moore, Jennifer (Philip) Suriano and Katherine (Sean) Kenney. Francine was a proud grandmother of five; Shaun, Sophia, Eamon, Evangeline and Shannon. Adored sister of Monica Gelo. Devoted daughter of Dolores and George Lowenhaupt. Francine was a dedicated nurse to so many in need for over 30 years. She worked at Grace Plaza in Great Neck.
As a child she spent summers in Sag Harbor with her sister and her parents. She often told stories of how her sister Monica and her loved to pick strawberries, go clamming and swim at the beach. She kept these traditions alive with her own family continuing to visit Sag Harbor and created new traditions with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews by spending time at her home in Vermont. There, they all went apple picking, swimming at the lake and barbequing by the water. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She wasn't fancy, she didn't require or ask for anything of great value, but she was always classy. She made a mean meatloaf and an incredible pot roast. She loved glitz and glitter and sparkly pink, lace and pink carnations. She loved a warm shawl on a cold day listening to Barbara Streisand while she took her "40 winks." She could whistle a tune like nobody's business and surprisingly loved a good Bob Marley song here and there.
She will be forever missed every hour and every day. Toodles mommy.
