She and her beloved husband, Mario also lived Garfield, NJ and for the longest period of time in Lodi, NJ. Nina belonged to St Joseph Parish in Lodi. She loved singing opera, cooking and was very devoted to God, Padre Pio and her family. Nina & Mario were truly one person. He was her life and she was his. Mario would often sit with his eyes closed in delight listening to her sing beautiful love songs around the house. She was his precious Ninuccia and she always will be. Nina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mario in November, 2013, after 48 years of marital bliss. Nina lived close to her Memories of Mario in her home with the assistance of 3 very dear family friends, Andrea, Gloria and Vanessa. Their help in maintaining her quality of life and morale with their assistance and caring companionship was invaluable. It came time this February, that my Nina became increasingly uremic and weak. She was hospitalized due to failing kidneys and a broken heart Most recently, her daughter, Rosanne, had the privilege and honor to be with Nina 24/7, to love her and assist in her care and, most of all, to walk the last part of this life's journey to real life in Christ. Nina is survived by one daughter, Rosanne and her husband, Dr. Thomas Fischer, of Northport, NY and one grandson, the apple of her eye, Tommy and 11 nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
