I knew Danny in Miami and Orlando as a flight attendant for Delta and I just found his obituary when I ran across a photo of us on a trip together and I searched for his name because I knew he had been ill but never heard what happened. I'm so sad to find the obituary. My memories of him and our crews were of fun trips to NYC, LAX, LAS, SFO and beyond. The great times we had with Danny always, always smiling and in the middle of things. He had a heart of gold and was a ray of sunshine on each and every trip we flew together. We were close in seniority and we flew quite a lot of trips together and on them he would talk about his love for Rhonda. He was so in love and it showed. I lost touch with him after he transferred but I know we would have picked right up where we left off and he would still be smiling. I can't know the loss you have experienced, but I hope you know that even after all these years, he's still remembered by those he met with tremendous affection. I will cherish his memory for the rest of my life and know that Danny will never be forgotten. I'm sure we all can't wait to see him again in the great beyond. May memory be your comfort.

My deepest condolences too the Norton family. Danny was more than a mere friend, he was a true brother. I had the priviledge of knowing Danny for over 20yrs. And yes, we had plenty of great times too say the least. He introduced me to a thing called "Irish Coffee" in San Francisco..22 of them to be exact! I have so many great memories, but one stands alone. It included his son Shawn, a Wave Runner, and a "couple" of McDonalds cheese burgers in Singer Island Florida. Danny will be greatly missed, but will forever live in the hearts of the people luckey enough too call him friend. Especially mine.

Danny was always a joy to work with here at the Delta! He was always positive and fun to be around. His love for his children was strong...always worried and concerned, as parents are. His close friends called him "Norton"...goodness, he will be missed. What a wonderful person. My prayers go out to his family.

I met Danny when we were in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale base. I remember how handsome and good looking he was and figured he would be stuck-up. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! He was on of the kindest and friendliest people I've ever known. When we transferred to Orlando we flew together more often. When I was dreading a trip and realized Danny was one of the crew members on the trip it made all the difference in the world. It became a trip I looked foward to flying.
He never forgot a face. Danny met my husband, Jack, one time while we were traveling on vacation. The next time Jack was nonreving alone, Danny remembered him and visited with him on the flight. I remember how impressed my husband was with Danny an mentioned him often.
I'll never forget one of our last trips together. We layed over in DFW and Danny and I were the only ones to show up for Happy Hour! We sat outside and had seriuos discussions about our lives. That night we did not solve the world's problems or ours, but it was nice to have someone sincere to talk with and listen.
Danny has been greatly missed at Delta and will be greatly missed here on this earth. I look forward to the day when I will see him again in heaven. As always Danny has never left my thoughts and prayers and I extend these to his Family and Loved Ones.
With Deepest Regrets & Sympathy,
Jennifer Jones-Gray (J.J.)

He had the greatest sense of humor and was always smiling and up to something on our flights!! He made flying fun!! It was a pleasure as well as an honor to have known him. He is a friend who will forever live in my heart

To the Family,
I did not know Danny very well. I am a Flight Attendant, and I flew with Danny a few times in the early "90"s.
I wanted to share a memory of a very special day I had with Danny.
A few years ago, I was on a layover in Ft. Meyers, FL. I had the entire afternoon, and decided to spend it at the pool. Shortly after I got there, Danny showed-up. It turns out he was on a layover, too. Shortly after that, a pilot that we both knew showed-up.
It was a beautiful summer day, and the three of us ended up spending the entire afternoon drinking beer, swimming, lying in the sun, and talking about our friends, our families and our lives.
It was an honor to have known Danny, and I will always remember that day.
