Dolly presided as president of the Doll Club of Huntington, NY for many years. In the 1970's while proprietor of the Trolly Tracks Antique Shop, Dolly was instrumental in reactivating the Northport Chamber of Commerce. She was also a member of the Northport Architectural Review Board. Later, Dolly set her attention to creating beautiful brides through her own wedding gown design business. From 1974 to 2009 Dolly and her husband Ward created many exhibits at the Northport Historical Society. Dolly is survived by her darling husband Ward and their four children: Laurajean Wilson (Clifford) of Shirley, NY, Ward "Skipper" Hooper, Jr. (Agnieska) of Berlin, Germany, Jennifer (Bruce) MacDonald of Ithaca, NY, and Emily Hooper of Minneapolis, MN, adoring grandchildren: Justin and Heather (Ithaca, NY) and beloved brother, Arthur Kevorkian of NY, NY. Dolly made distinct and lasting impressions on all she met and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Nolan's Funeral Home, Northport, NY. Family and friends may visit at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY, 3 - 6 pm Sunday December 2, 2012. Tributes at the Funeral Home begin at 11 am on Monday December 2, 2012, followed by interment at the Northport Rural Cemetery.
