Griffiths, Hilda D. died Friday, April 24, 2009, at the age of 99 at her home. She lived her life with humor dignity, and grace, and gave joy to all. She was preceded in death by husband, Richard Sabine Griffiths. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Sumereau of Northport, NY, three sons, Richard Griffiths of Centerport, NY, Barclay Griffiths of Pleasantville, NY, and Roger Griffiths of Woburn, MA. She has 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She had resided at Jefferson's Ferry Lifecare Community in South Setauket, NY since 2001 and enjoyed her independent lifestyle. The family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff for their love and compassionate care given the past few months. Memorial visitation will be held at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY, Saturday June 13, 2009 11am to 1 PM, with a service at 1 pm.
