Damiano, Elizabeth Lanci - Longtime Northport resident on July 17, 2009 at 101 years old. Old time residents of the Huntington, Northport and Kings Park area will remember "Bee" and her husband Fred as the founders and proprietors of the original Bee's Sweater Shop in Northport. Bee lived a long and event filled life often entertaining her grandchildren with her remembrances of the end of WWI & when she worked the overseas switch-board on the day of the 1929 stock market crash. She was a fiercely independent and feisty lady who truly did things her way. Bee loved to dance and 100 years old, at her granddaughters wedding, danced with each of her son-in-laws and grandsons, and loved every minute. She is survived by her 2 daughters and son-in-laws; Phyllis & Anthony Sullivan and Diane & Joseph Aliperti; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Michael & Caroline LaVopa, Debra & Dennis Alicea, Denise & Christopher Zec, Jodi & Robert Avati, Susan & Rick Hollandsworth, Robert & Lea Erikson, Jennifer & Charles Napolitano, and Jayme & Daniel Pacheco, and 20 great-grandchildren all of whom will remember her always and with much love and laughter.
