Coue - Albert Bernard, on October 10th, 2009. Born in France on March 15, 1915. He was raised on Long Island, formerly from Northport, LI and resided in Spanish Lakes, Florida since 1989. He was retired from Grumman Aerospace on December 1, 1978, where he worked as an engineer on the LEM Project. He served in the Military in World War II as a Lieutenant Colonel in 507 Engineer Light Pontoon Co. in the European Theatre of Operation in 1945. Awarded Bronze Star by the US and the Croix de Guerre with Silver Gilt by the French Government for service in liberating France. He was a lifetime member of the Retired Officers Association. Albert (Bert) was predeceased by his wife Mary (Mae) and his daughter Ann. Reposing Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
