Trachtenberg, David A. on September 13, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Loving son of Marge and Henry Trachtenberg. Beloved brother of Katie Trachtenberg, and Susan (Dan) Torpey. Fond uncle of Alison, Lindsay, Shannon and Great-uncle to Max. David will be greatly missed by all of his colleauges and students from the Northport school district, where he truly loved to work. Reposing Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-5 7-9 PM. There will be words of Remembrance on Sunday evening around 8PM at the Funeral Home. Interment Monday morning at 10AM at Washington Memorial Park, with a chapel service. in Lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015, or Hospice Care Network, 70 Pinelawn Road, Melville, NY 11747 in his memory would be appreciated.
