John has been one of Penny and my oldest and dearest friends. Our families have shared memorable moments, events, and milestones ever since we met in Taiwan in 1969. As couples we had great fun and were inseparable for 2 years as we discovered what it was like to live an expat life.
John possessed a great sense of humor and was a steadfast friend. He was always available to help with support and understanding whether it be on family concerns, the many mechanical and/or structural mysteries I encountered, or some type of vehicle he felt I should have. I will never be able to pass a Harley or a Morgan again without remembering our many adventures together. I will also forever remember sharing our many athletic pursuits, Cuban cigars, books, and the great times we shared visiting one another around the world. The “National Debt” will always be linked to John in my mind.
Sadly we will be deprived of John’s company for our remaining retirement years in Florida, but he leaves behind the wonderful and strong loving family he nurtured; Carol, Chris, Eric, Jenn, Rosie and his many grandchildren will be able to carry on the legacy of the man who meant so much to my family and to those who were fortunate enough to have John in their life.
With the greatest of sadness, our love and deepest sympathy goes out to Carol and the entire family at this difficult time. Rest in Peace John
