Obituary of Kacie Yvonne Buchanan

Kacie Yvonne Buchanan of North Chesterfield/Richmond, Virginia, formerly of East Northport, NY, on October 29, 2020, 28 years of age. Loving wife and best friend of Anthony. Cherished daughter of Karen & Marty Kohler and adored sister of Karlie Kohler. So loved by her "Nanny & Poppy", Yvonne & Harold Ford. Fond daughter in-law of Julie & Lew Buchanan and sister in-law of Andy Buchanan. Dear niece of Kevin & Anne Ford and Linda & Pete Koulermos. Proud graduate and member of the Marching Royal Dukes at James Madison University. Also a proud graduate of Northport High School and member of the Northport HS Tiger Marching Band.

Kacie brought sunshine into all the lives she touched as a cousin, friend, teacher, co-worker and so much more. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by all the people she touched.

Visiting Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY, Tuesday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM. She will be laid to rest privately in Virginia where she spent the last 10 years in school, teaching and where she met her husband, Anthony.

In Kacie's loving memory donations would be preferred. Donations may be made to Falling Creek Elementary School STEAM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), which Kacie was very passionate about and instrumental in. Checks can be made out to Falling Creek Elementary School with "Kacie Buchanan Memorial" in the memo and mailed to the Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY 11768. 

Masks are required. Please be mindful that visitors are limited to 60 people in the building at a time and be respectful to those who may be waiting to visit by keeping your stay brief if possible.
