Obituary of Janet Sharlun

Jan Sharlun of Eaton's Neck/Northport passed away January 5, 2024 at 81 years of age. Loving mother of the late Jeff Sharlun, Kristi Sharlun and Glen (Trish) Sharlun. Devoted grandmother ("Nana") to Erika Cartolano (Jack) Engel, Chris Cartolano, Aly Cartolano, Grace Sharlun, Abby Sharlun (Logan) Treiber and Maddy Sharlun; great grandmother to Hunter Cartolano, Elias and Levi Engel. Jan was deeply loved and missed as Alzheimers very slowly took her away from us.

Jan was a vivacious, energetic woman who was very active in her Eaton's Neck and Northport communities. Jan was very involved with St. Paul's Lutheran Church, singing and playing her guitar with the Sunday School children and the children's choir. Jan was also very active in the Eaton's Light Yacht Club and the Huntington Folk Music Society. Jan always travelled with her guitar and would break into song on a moment's notice.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Vernon Valley Road, East Northport, NY, the Reverand Jonathan Pryor officiating.
