Obituary of John Murray

John Murray – Of Northport, on June 7, 2024, 86 years of age. Retired NYPD Detective and proud US Army Veteran. Beloved father of the late James (Stephanie) Murray, Anne-Marie (Billy) Dolega, Frank (Julie Schoendorf) Murray, & John (Crystal Castle) Murray, Jr. Cherished grandfather of Bubba (Maggie) Murray, Demi (Steve) McCarley, Eddie Dolega, Fiona Dolega, and dear great grandfather of Taylor, Emily, & Gabriel. Fond brother of the late Peter Murray, Jr., Marge Florimonte, Cathy McDonald, Betty Baccalliere, & the late "Bernie" Yacono. Visiting to take place at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave, Northport, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church in Northport on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery with US Army Military Honors.
