Obituary of Catherine Marie Maisch

Beloved Catherine Marie Maisch, 71, died at home in Huntington, New York on June 10, 2024, after a multi-year confrontation with cancer, which she met with uncommon determination and grace.

Cathi is survived by her husband Andy; children Andrew and Kelly Marie; her brothers Mark, Richard and Harry and sisters Mary Meghan and Martha, and her mother in-law Christine Maisch and sister in-law Michele Gates.

Cathi is preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Harold Eicher. Deeply loving and devoted to her family, Cathi had an exquisite sensitivity to the needs of others, often putting them before her own. She was especially attuned to perceived injustice and took a strong stand in defense of fairness and compassion. We will miss her beyond words.

Cathi and her husband, Andy, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this July, which is a wonderful testimony to their friendship and perseverance.
